Synopsis: Song Yu Die (Zheng Shuang) is a renowned chef in Hangzhou city with a mysterious identity. She grew up learning how to cook from her adopted mother who is also a brilliant chef and the owner of the famous restaurant Tianxiang restaurant. Her sweetheart Li Ma (Ray Ma) is the adopted son of her mother and she knows that they will marry when they grow up. However things change when she encounters Prince Zhao Yuan Qing and Li Ma heads off to the battlefield to build a career for himself. Meanwhile beneath the prosperity, a threat lurks in the background and together with Li Ma, Zhao Yuan Qing she may have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save it…..
Notes:

1. Bian Liang(now known as Kaifeng): This is the capital of the Northern Song dynasty/ Song kingdom that this drama is set in. The Song dynasty was split into two distinct periods, the north and south Song. The South Song era was established due to the fact the Song Court lost control of the northern half of their empire which was taken over by the Jurchen people and so the Song court was forced to retreat to the lower end of the Yangtze river and establish a new capital in Lin’an (now known as Hangzhou). I may use Bian Liang or the capital to describe the capital city
2. If the tree lined hills remain you will still have firewood to burn: This is a chinese saying which roughly means, if one is still alive, there is still hope.
3. Taiqi: This is the aura/health of an unborn baby. If there is an imbalance (动了胎气) it means there has been a complication in the pregnancy.
4. The palace is great right? But you cannot enter it: Having great aspirations that you is beyond what you cannot achieve
