PLEASE DO NOT REUPLOAD MY VIDEOS. If you see them floating around in youtube or facebook or any other places other than here please do help me report these channels or try and direct them here. That will be much appreciated. It will give me more motivation to work and hence faster subs because instead of sitting around trying to calm down from the frustration and stop ranting about people stealing my work I can focus on the important stuff. Thank you!

Some troubleshooting advice:

  1. I find the best browser to watch this in is Chrome
  2. Clear your cache time to time and close your entire browser after you’ve done so. I find that dailymotion takes up a lot of storage space. You can learn how to do that here: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/
  3. Also check that the scripts and add blockers. Flashblock and Noscript often blocks dailymotion videos from playing

Commentary from the subber: HC redemption

Notes:

  1. Voidness: It’s a concept in the heart sutra a famous buddhist text, where form is empty/void, emptiness is form (sunyata). All phenomena are sunyata, empty of any unchanging essence. Many people have their own interpretation of what this “emptiness” is and what the heart sutra means because if you just read it it doesn’t make sense so you have to interpret it in your own way.
  2. Nebulous void: This is from the chinese creation story that states that the world first began as a nebulous void before it was separated. The clear, pure part drifted up and became Heaven/upper realm and the turbid part became the lower realms. The essences of Earth and Heaven produced yin and yang which in turn produced Qi which produced formless shapeless beings. Yin and Yang was separated and produced vital energy which firmed up those shapeless beings and gave life to the creatures produced producing life.
  3. Tipping/destroying the Hongmeng furnace: The original chinese subtitles uses a mixture of both so I assume that tipping it over = destroying it as well.

  1. We are nearing the end of the episodes…I’m feeling kind of sad for this drama to end. I’m glad they leave the end of the episode with Luan Lang? (I forgot how to spell his name)’s wanting to rule the three realm. This gives me some laugh after all the tears I shed from the pain and suffering Jidu had to go through. I think Yuan Lang is the most comedic character of this drama. Him and SiFeng’s father are very comical. I don’t feel as though they are evil evil. I’m glad I read some of the comment to better understand the situation. Overall, I do agreed with most people on here that Hao Chen’s punishment was not reasonable enough for all the thing he has done.

Thank you for all your hard work in subbing this drama. I wish you the best in all of your future work. I know you will do an awesome job~! Much appreciated~!

  2. Especially came to find out how and when bailing dijun gets punished. His punishment may not be satisfying but I understand tge writer as he is an emperor and can’t be punished like rest as that would put the coming emperors under suspicion of being wrong and committing crimes. Hence causing more trouble. But the comments section definitely satisfies the frustration left by self righteous a******.

  3. I had to pause this episode in the middle, if Hao Chen just died then the whole universe would be in peace, it’s only him that doesn’t know that which at this point makes me just laugh, I’m done swearing at a piece of trash.

  4. Thank you so much. I can’t believe we are only one episode away from the end.

This was a satisfying episode seeing Hao Chen finally get some comeuppance. I do agree with Lou Ho Jidou that his punishment doesn’t compare to the crimes and pain HC has caused. It’s very interesting having the Heavenly Emperor involved now too. The other “good guys” seem so passive and powerless in these scenes between the big guns.

  5. My perspective….Bai Lin represents whiteness in America and Louho Jidu the Black American people. The parallels are uncanny. The stealing of the African people to make them into objects for exploitation and enslaving them to build the colonial empire. Smh. I must say, i’m invested in the ending of this story.

      1. “capitalist empire rather than colonial.”

Please read some American history, most of territories in North America were colonies of England, Spain, France, and the Netherlands prior to their modern successor states. Originally indigenous people were enslaved to work plantations and mines but as they kept dying and committing suicide European colonists turned to the West African slave trade.

    1. Actually, I think the entire heavenly realm represents white people/white privilege. They look down on everyone else and consider themselves superior. People of African descent all over the world are represented by the demons/devils in this drama. Many of the demons(like Sifeng) aren’t inherently evil yet the others hate/fear them. Anyway, I think this drama represents the reality we’re living in right now. How we’ve allowed our differences(race, religion, politics) to cause enmity between us

  6. the heavenly emperor calling bai ling a devil was so satisfying. seemed like the biggest insult possible. but bai ling is definitely not redeemed just because he stripped himself of his position and powers. I really want him to suffer.

  7. I am not ready for this to be over 😭! Also I kind of agree with louho jidu that for how much hao Chen put him through, just being stripped of his powers is not an equal punishment. I think he should be cast down to undergo his own 10 tribulations as fair punishment. Also, you have to love yuan lang, to the very end he doesn’t give up his scheming to get his way 😂. Oh and thank you soo much PP for subbing this drama!

  9. It’s actually so intresting and facinating that Tangshe was the first to step in trying to stop Bai Lin followed by the other Beasts and Siming when he was breaking his rules till now opposing him…The Emperor is quite frightening as he didn’t even bother to try to save him, like send him in seclusion and made him truly redemn himself…A man who still has the devotions of still so many is worth it i guess…And what Bai Lin did was horrible and deserves to pay for a long time rather tahn get over with…

Still can’t with Yuan Lang’s expressions of ” Let’s get over with this melodrama,i need to be the Owner of the 3 Realms”

  10. Thanks a lot!I actually think The Heavenly Emperor is even more at fault than Bai Lin as he just stood all this time as a bystander when he could prevent all this pain and also take Bai Lin on the right path yet like mentioned didn’t do anything…Somehow now that the 3 Realms are in Danger he is all preachy and playing the nice guy making so little of the pain Jidu went though and i could say even subtle manipulating him at the end, considering he was a bit foced to even bother coming…I even pitied Bai Lin a little as he was so engulfed by his madness and inner demons trying to do a good thing and he truly believed in it and if someone would have shown him his ways are wrong all this pain would have been avoided…Liu Xue Yi was fantastic and those subtle expressions delivered, when he realized he was wrong and that he destroyed the peace, when he really loked at Jidu and not at the image his prejudice created, like that is skill…
Still very much sad and dissappointed the Producers didn’t include like the 3 most poignant Instrumentals/BGM’s that stood the most in the drama (aside from Touch of Evil Return) yet included some instrumental no names who doubt many know were are used…Like why do they do this every time?(Even more with the ones that stood the most?) (The one used a lot being poignant, when God Of War says in 26 that wasn’t justice while she falls from Heaven,The one played when Zihu is in the Mirror replaying her memories, and the Pathos one when Jidu shows Sifeng about the lamp with the wholy fire)

    1. The heavenly emperor was born from heaven’s will, so his job isn’t necessarily to prevent stuff from happening. He offered guidance to BaiLin, who actively oversees the heavenly realm, but was ignored. It’s kinda how in Christianity, God gives people free will and the Holy Spirit is supposed to help guide them in accordance to God’s will, but if people choose to not listen, He doesn’t step in and make them do anything even though the consequences may be dire. It would’ve been nice for the Heavenly Emperor to do something about BaiLin before it got to that point, but I still think it’s ultimately BaiLin who failed the 3 realms and allowed his own inner demon to cloud his judgment

    2. I agree. I don’t understand the Heavenly Emperor’s indifference. He is literally the only one who could’ve stopped Bailin from the beginning, before things got really ugly. Yet he chose not to

  11. I can’t believe this is the second to last episode. I can’t remember how long I have been here for – probably since episode 12 – but I have stuck with this website throughout. Thank you for your translations. This Chinese drama has probably become my favourite taking up the place of TMOPB. I don’t know wether it due to the amazing acting or the well thought out story line. Regardless, the journey has been amazing. I can only hope for all my favourite characters to be happy and a ho Chen to bite the dust 😀

    – thank you for translating as usual

    1. This episode was so satisfying. I think the writers wanted the audience to sympathise with Ho Chen lmaoo . Please my a** was laughing. Seeing him look so miserable doesn’t even scratch the nonsense he did but it was worth it.
